Past, Present, Permanent

long time no post... been busy.

tuesday i came home like 4+ and i slept. night time i slacking then sam called and i din really have the mood to blog.

wed was subject choosing day. BCMg. i am very proud of myself for sticking to my own choice. lets hope it works out fine.

then i had strat club until 5 or so. i convinced sam to join me and i went with huan ting and her fren carol. we played bridge and learned (sorta) contract bridge. it's fun but complicated. i prefer casual bridge. then we played scrabble and sam and carol were like owning. huan ting ended up with lots of Y's and U's and cannot do anything. sam managed to clear his entire hand once. wtf. then carol had to go so i vs sam in english chess since he dunno how to pcc. he won. no details required. huan ting just watched while i got owned flat. then she went to play weiqi and i went home with sam.

then i opened my gc (what an effort!) and it was damn complicated to use. but i kinda got the hang of it now although the default cursor is replace, which is damn fkin ma fan. insert is better. and they gave 3 books on how to use but i mostly used the lecture notes and my own exploration to figure out how to use.

today was the first official day of lessons for j1s. and the first official lesson was chem! and the first official topic was atoms and molecules and stoichiometry! and the first official teacher was some grumpy old lady. chem was boring.

then was maths. i relearnt basic graph shapes. x square, x cube , x neg square, x^-3... and my gc got problem at showing ax^-n graph cuz it doesn't show an asymptote but a line joining the two lines. sian lah. maths ended at 9.10am

then it was slacking time until 11.50am. i helped lianne look for her lost obamafone (blackberry) but to no avail. most of the og had econs h1 before recess. i slacked and ate and watched some debu note on huan ting's phone and played some stupid calculator games and had a mini calculator lesson for hui ling. lol. seems like i'm the only one who knows about it's many functions and how to operate it properly.

but the thing about the gc is that it's damn low tech. i mean, surely for the amount i'm paying ($176!) i can get something with a screen that has better graphics? if i took physics i would build a better calc in future. but too bad. i'm in BCMg.
