the 6A chalet was cool. more than half the class turned up in total.
i took a cab there on the 5th with abel and kurtz and ryan. and we still arrived later than zhiyi, keith, andrew, zhiyang, and hengjing, who all came by bus. blame it on the jam on PIE. lol, jam on pie. w/e.
they were playing justin's xbox when we reached. the chickens i brought spilled their sauce in the cab. i hope taxi drivers don't read my blog.
then we went out to the mamak shops at changi village to buy bbq supplies. 10 mins walk. it's even closer than from here to sam's place. and then ryan and abel and hengjing and zhiyang and andrew rented bikes overnight. i forgot when guokai came, but i rmb that we met yanhan before they went to get bikes. and he got bikes too. and kurtz too. so only keith and guokai and zhiyi and me and justin went back to the chalet, while the rest went off biking.
it was 6pm.
so we went back and played a bit of halo, and then changed to ultimate alliance, which is a marvel superhero game (spidey and all that) and although the intended objective was to kill enemies, zhiyi and guokai changed it into a money-picking game.
and then we went for dinner. we walked past a chicken rice stall and guokai was telling justin how unhealthy chicken rice was, when he saw the price and said, "2 dollar chicken rice! eat here eat here!" and so we chiong in and ate.
after eating we went to walk walk, we walked to the hawker center and on the way gk managed to break something at the guardian shop. and i bought a bath towel because i didn't bring mine. and then we took a long route back and made keith forget his subway cookies.
and when we went back we played more ultimate alliance and collected more money, while justin was screaming himself hoarse (don't ask) and once we got sian of it zhiyi played his Ip Man cd. and it was all in chinese. even subtitles in chinese. what for put subtitles then?! but i managed to catch the drift of the show and i think it was quite good. and the fight scenes were very good. and that was about it.
and later zhiyi played soccer in the house and halfway through the show the bikers came back and all of them stank up the hall with sweat and booze smells.
and we played bridge for a while and abel won and lost at alternating games. then i can't remember what happened. i think it was 6am by the time i got ready for bed. the problem was, ther was no bed! all taken up liao. so i and zhiyi slept on justin's room floor. and it was so cold and so hard and justin was snoring so loud that i evacuated to the hall sofa, with zhiyi following just minutes later.
somehow i managed to sleep and i woke up at 9.45, so that was about 3.5 hours sleep, give or take. i just slacked on the sofa till the rest
came stomped down the stairs. then i brushed my teeth and we went for breakfast at the hawker center. the bikers had to return the bikes so they reached faster. and justin went to the busstop to wait for jenna. and by calculation, when he set off for the busstop, she was still at city hall.
and so i forced him to come down to the hawker center to eat first and after that we walked back and most of them went back to the house (to play xbox la, what else) while the ever-so-faithful justin and gk and keith and me waited at the busstop. this time we didn't wait long for the girls to come. charmaine, jenna, beishan, and kasturi. and kasturi changed so much! i could barely recognise her at first glance. and she didn't recognise me too. lol.
they brought the satay as well so that was good.
and when we went back jenna wanted to start preparing the food. so i let her do the prawns while i played bridge with gk and beishan and kasturi and charmaine. and it was hard teaching the girls how to play. and after a lot of (failed) games it was lunchtime and i went with beishan and kasturi to tabao lunch for the rest. the girls took a bike each while i just ran alongside. and i took care of the bikes while they went to do the dirty work of buying food. then i met yanhan and kurtz and ryan and andrew who were looking for their bikes, so they took them back and after buying the hawker center food, we had to go to the last night's chicken rice stall to buy food for zhiyi and keith. so yanhan took back half the food while i carried the other half and we walked back.
and then ash came. i think that was when ash came. and kailer too? not sure. but they were all around the xbox doing their thing. and jenna was done with the prawns. and some of them were upstairs playing guitar. and it was lunchtime so we pulled out the tables and ate. and gossiped a lot. and played a small truth or dare but no one had any truth questions to ask, so not fun. and i forgot what happened after that, but i rmb charmaine's eyes becoming as red as her shirt (she said it was her fringe poking. i call it noob) so she retreated upstairs to apply some of kasturi's eyemo. then somehow, the girls ended up playing xbox while the bikers did their thing.
then we went to the beach when the bikes came back. i took a ride this time. it felt good, after being on my feet for more than a year. i even had the courage to take a steep slope which abel fell down the day before. good eh?
and once we reached the beach we parked the bikes and sat in the sand and ryan went on a girl-shoe-burying spree and managed to irritate both charmaine and jenna individually in a span of five mintues. quite a feat, huh, but it was his normal performance just four years ago.
and a lot of sand was thrown and dug. ryan cycled dangerously close to the water edge. but that's ryan. and zhiyi and ash started digging some sort of hole. and i found an igloo-shaped structure with a dead fish sitting nicely inside. like a shrine. cool sia.
and i tried to skim rocks but only managed thee hops at best. i saw no one else doing better so i was comforted. and kasturi even was impressed by a two-jump attempt. so i guess i'm good. haha
and after that beishan and kas went to the cafe and ordered a drink. the rest of us followed and soon after, went back to start the bbq.
but justin's mom didn't let us touch the fire. in the end, it wasn't big enough to cook a lot. so the bbq dragged on from 6pm to 9pm. most of the hungry kids were outside snatching food from each other while the not so hungry were inside playing cards. and beishan and kas were still missing. but i had to skewer the chicken wings. and after that i washed my and and got an sms from beishan telling me that she was in the chalet already. i didn't even see her walk in. anyway that was about the time shenkwang and woonyeow and chzekian came too. and so i finished up my chicken poking and went to explore the house.
i found the two of them in justin's room, with kasturi holding the pillow stained with justin's pimple blood. yucks. beishan was playing my guitar. she knew a bit and was better than keith, who knew next to nothing. then beishan asked me to play, so i just mashed a few chords together and they listened sooo intensely like it was an exam. and kasturi told us a story about mail-order brides being abused and all.
and then jenna called me down becuase there was food to be cooked. so i went down and joined the cards table. i cant rmb what they were playing, but it wasn't interesting so i went out and brusied myself on the chicken wings. then i took a drink and sat down beside woon yeow and tried to get him to recall the time we got into trouble with mr raja. he couldn't. wth. it's still lodged in my memory lor.
and then i cent rmb what happened, but i rmb stealing stingray from jenna and ryan and keith. and zhiyang brought us some sausages. they looked so nice, smooth, and clean, and wet. they were uncooked! ryan almost ate it.
then i tried the bbq again but i had not much of a mood. maybe it was because of the 3-hour sleep. so i went to play cards and did menial things and this and that.
after the bbq was almost over, i went up to the other room and found some ppl playing guitar. cnt rmb who, but ash and zhiyi was there when i came in. and jenna tried to play some yellowcard song. it didn't sound like a song but i think she got the fretting right. and i played the avril lavigne my happy ending song, and it was a bit screwed up because the tab for the intro was a bit wrong, or maybe i just play wrong. and then after they all left i asked jenna to call shaun and then i packed my guitar and all and went down again. most of them were about to leave, so once i got my phone back from jenna, i walked beishan and kas to the busstop. then keith and ash and charmaine and jenna and zhiyi and kailer went back in zhiyi's czar.
and after that, the bikers set off. so i was the only one left with justin. i broke some news to him and then i told him to go bathe and sleep since he was sick. and i went to the room to play guitar by myself. just the way i like it. i could sing all my off-key songs and no one could hear. lol. those who heard also wun care.
and then justin's mom went off. so i was alone at home.
so i turned on the xbox and played halo3 campaign by myself. i was very lousy. but i improved a bit after 2 hours of playing. halfway through justin came down and helped me along. then the bikers came back (with no booze this time) and took over the xbox. i went to sleep, on the same 3-single-bed-joined-together bed as abel, yanhan, kurtz, andrew, and zhiyang.
at about 8 in the morning, i was pushed on the floor by abel. i almost fell on chze kian. and i decided that i was awake and so i went to bathe, to make up for yesterday. and brushed my teeth. and i saw shen kwang stoning dopwnstairs, and woon yeow playing the halo3 campaign. so i played 1 v 1 with him. both of us noobs. very fun. more fun than playing against pro-er ppl like justin and ryan.
and then ash came with jenna and keith in tow. the bikers went off to return the bikes, then i took over from jenna and played halo with ash and keith and managed to kill them, quite a bit, so it delayed ash's winning time. then ash played texas hold'em with the guys. while jenna had stomach pain and crouched at one side, watching.
then beishan came with kasturi and pizza and monopoly. the pizza was heated up and then we all went to the beach for a picnic. no bikes, so we all walked there. abel and ash were made to carry the huge water container.jenna felt better. ryan was high at the thought of being near sand. oh, did i mention minpei calling me so incessantly?
we went to a small pavillion and put our food there. the wind was so strong it blew our cups away. pizza was devoured. sausages were made fun of. water was drunk, boggle was played (and yanhan found "vagina" and jen found "jen" and so did everyone else) and the sandwiches were mostly untouched.
then we went to the sand and this time, since i came in sandles, i could get my feet wet. and i splashed water on ash and jen who were standing beside each other. and kasturi threw a durian seed at beishan which she threw at me and i threw back at kasturi. and i skimmed more rocks and gk found a huge floating rock and threw it out to sea, 5 times, since it always washed up again. but the water was too dirty to swim, if not i would have done so.

sandcastle, i think it was yanhan, anyway the sandcastle was spoilt by both of them so they started on writing it instead. they did many huge drawings all along the beach, i think big enough for the aeroplane to see. i did a "HOLLYWOOD". anyway jenna, who could run a little, rushed to clean up after the boys, while justin, who could hardly jog, just tagged along and muttered things.
and i wrote "jenna + shau" and i almost put in the last "n" but jen destroyed it. but later on she herself went to change one of the "justin" to "shaun". weird girl.
and they also wrote "nick + jenna" so i changed the "nick" to "your mom". and there was another bigger "your mom" that replaced "justin". and i also changed a "jenna" to "me". and i rubbed away the "in" from "justin" to make "just <3 jenna". hey i'm also weird.
and i found another dead fish so i skewered it on my stick. ash skewered his on a sparkler stick. and then we went back, leaving a few justin/jenna art pieces behind.
and back at the house some of them played monopoly while i forgot what i did.
then i packed and got ready to leave. i lost a few plastic bags and the byob bag so i had to stuff almost everything into one bag. and my guitar and ball cannot be stuffed in so i carried them separately. and my bag strap broke so i had to clip it weirdly and it was very uncomfortable and i headed for home with gk and beishan and kas and jenna.
and in the bus jenna called shaun again. and i dunno my calls will burst or not this month, since i have been calling minpei too. aiya dun care lah.
and so we went into the train to pasir ris because from there, we could get a seat. and all of us sat in a row and gossiped about who liked who and who sitll likes who and who didn't like who and who still doesn't like who and who's who and who was who and all that, until jurong.
then we tried to squeeze on the train to bukit batok but couldn't. so we waited for the next. jenna, the sun-shunning girl had to stand in gk's shadow to protect herself.
finally we managed to get on the train but the train didn't move. for almost 10 mins. or more. was it more? i think so. it was so cramped. lucky the air con was on. jenna had to call her mom to explain her lateness. and we had more time to gossip.
and the train moved suddenly and i almost fell. but falling was impossible because there was a man behind me sticking his big butt in my way.
and i got off at bukit batok, same stop as beishan and kas, and gk carried on with jenna. and i lost the two girls in the crowd so i just walked to the 178 busstop and waited.
and i saw
SAM.
omg.
so coincidential.
he left his chalet that day too, and went straight to work with the huge bag of his. so in the end i ended up taking 176 with him and forgoed my 178.
which was a good thing in the end, because i just remembered that i had asked abel to bring home my phone charger which i forgot to take, and taking 176 means that i would be passing his house as i walked back. so i called him and managed to meet him so i didn't have to waste any time at night to get back my charger.
and then i went home. and ate.
and then chalet was over.
