Past, Present, Permanent

hello all. i made it safe and sound to incheon.

it's cold, but not as cold as i expected. but yes, it's cold. and i can't really read signs and all. but i haven't got really lost yet. quite good huh.

and i'll blog about the whole trip once i get back.

oh yes, the hotel has free computer usage. wow. i love this hotel.

ok i might as well blog about yesterday.

left house at 6am. take off at 8am. touch down at 3.30pm. got stuck at the immigration for half an hour due to someone in front having a problem. wadever. so we met the guide and then went to his car.

it's a private tour guide, btw. so cool.

anyway the weather was WINDY and cold. i was quite unprepared. quickly rushed to the car and set off to seoul city.

reached 서올 (seoul) at about 5 plus, and it was so dark it felt like 9pm. and then got into the hotel, Metro Hotel, which was in a back alley but it's quite a nice hotel. still cold! wind blowing strong. tried to be a hero and went out in the open without any jacket on, and cannot tahan. -.-

then after we put the bags in the room and put on our jackets, we went out to find somewhere to eat. this place is a back alley shopping area. still cold, but by that time i got used to it and can tahan with my IP Zone jacket. now where did i eat?

oh yes, we went to take the subway to Seoul Station. the train is so long and fast. and much more effective than singapore's. i like. anyway rents went to buy bullet train tickets to busan or something. and we just hung around and got cold. after that we went to eat in some korean restaurant in the station. the food is the same as what i can get in singapore. nothing new, really. maybe taste better and more authentic. it was hard to order because the waitress only spoke korean and the menu had no pictures, but luckily got romanisation, so can guess. words like kimchi and bibimbap were easy to recognise.

and after that we went to lotte mart. big place, just like Giant or Carrefour. bought the famous instant ramyeon and quickly went back to the subway because it was cold... brr.

and down the escalator to the subway, an old man fell and landed right beside me. i was surprised but tried to help him up but he was too heavy (i was too weak) and the next best thing to do was to drag him out of the end of the escalator. i was afraid that maybe his clothes would get caught in the escalator. luckily nothign happen. he took his own sweet time to get up, and all the time my un-gloved hands were freezing. and his wife was speaking away, i didn't know or care what. then once he got up he looked all right, and his wife patted me on the back and said something or somehthing so i just nodded my head and smiled and we both went separate ways.

and then nothing else happened on the way back. so when we went back i bathed and slept.
