Past, Present, Permanent

seems like my life has taken another turn, yet again.

tomorrow i will be heading to ajc to receive my award. and after that, my journey into the life science realm will end. and the big preparation starts. everything will HAVE to fall in line by MAY 25th. and of course, on MAY 26th itself. i cannot afford to let crap churn up and disfigure my visions.

somehow i have the sudden urge to play chess. must be due to the incredible influx of chinese chess sets. out of the blue, three chinese chess sets inflicted the PCC craze on half the class. including me. so in order not to look like i'm jumping on the bandwagon, i'm going to get either an angmoh chess set or someone else to bring one. but chinese chess does look like a lot of fun. the only problem is that i cannot read what's written on the pieces. which results in me putting them in the wrong places. maybe PCCing more will up my standard of chinese. maybe we should have a rule, stating that chinese must be used when PCCing. that might work wonders.

sian, can't find my angmoh chess. but i dug out my old chinese chess set. i think i'll just bring that. at least i'll have something to do at ajc. maybe i can play against chen xi. but i think i'll lose like crazy.

man the pieces are damn dusty. i don't think the box has been opened in years. hope the kids in school won't mind.

ok, battery's almost gone. i'll just pack up the set and get ready to mug though the night. or i'll just play chess against myself. or i'll see if kim wants to play before she sleeps. better get some practice. maybe we should have a chess stall for youth day. wonder if jaya would allow...
