yeah. hands down this is the worst day in racer history. all 3 racer spoil on the same day, 2 days before competition. lets do a post mortem:
1) My Mach2
right wheel too close to the body. jammed at the side. cannot turn. racer cannot move in straight lines. distance of both wheels from the body also different. turning radius affected.
2)Foo Hou's Mach3
CPU chip spoil. possibly short circuit. the moment the racer is turned on the chip heats up to an incredible temperature. too risky to test more.
3)Keith's Mach3
Also CPU chip problem. in this case, the racer does not respond to any commands, not do the sensor LEDs light up at all. only one LED lights up, and that is the one that indicates the presence of the battery pack. therefore it is comfirmed the CPU error.
in view of these problems, i hereby forsee that there may very well be an embarrassing withdrawal from the RoboGP2008.
just the kind of thing to hit me in my final year.
