suddenly i feel like blogging, so here goes. let's talk about the weekend shall we?
Friday: nothing much to say. standard operating procedure for that day: vomit, clean up, vomit, clean up.
Saturday: felt much better. finally managed to get some food down my stomach. unfortunately i had to endure almost 6 hours in the car to KL. didn't vomit that day, so i guess i must be getting better. still had to take plenty of panadol as fever cropped up. then we stopped at some coffeeshop for lunch. i ordered wanton mee (soup). ate half. then tried to squeeze in a little chrysenthemum tea. after that we went to our lodgings and i immediately collapsed on the bed and remained static for four hours.when i woke up i took a hot bath and felt better. however i still didn't feel like eating. not Kim Gary, not San Francisco Steakhouse, not even Fried Kueh Teow. i felt totally filled up to the brim. until my dad suggested that we have Korean for dinner. my appetite IMMEDIATELY improved. however, it was like changing "half-full" to "half-empty". when my order for On-Myeon came, i could only manage half of the noodles. sadly, i could not take the kimchee too, as it was spicy...after that we took a big walk around Mid-Valley Megamall. it is some shopper's paradise that is about the same size as vivocity. didn't feel so good after that, so we quickly rushed back to the hotel. when i reached back, fever hit again. FOOTBALL FEVER! tottenham v charlton. 5-1! goal fest! and liverpool v fulham too. 4-0! it seems for me, the best medicine is football and korea!
Sunday: another shopping mall. this one called "1 Utama". and this one's definitely way bigger than vivo. there's even an artificial forest built in. and since my family is 75% female, we spent 95% of the day at the shoe shops and ladies departments. and all i got from a whole day out was a pair of $25 golf shoes.after that we went to visit my paternal grandma. she looked so thin, even by my standards. she was staying at my 7th aunt's house, and thankfully, there was internet there. while my parents and elders started chatting away in hokkien, i immersed myself in Internet Reversi.
Monday: that day was supposed to be the day i went for golf, had i not fallen sick. and the original plan was, men to go golfing, ladies to go shopping. and since i could not golf, i was forced to spend another day looking at heels and blouses. but this time i came off better. i got myself two pairs of shorts and ALMOST bought a Manchester United jacket, just like those Sir Alex wears when he's in the dugout. unfortunately the cost was a tad too high. RM399! and i could not find any Man Utd winter jerseys. i found plenty of chelsea and arsenal ones though. all new arrivals. i guess that maybe Man Utd were a little late in delivering them to KL. after the 6 hours of torture, dinner! finally! at long last! i can take curry! went to an eating house near my 7th aunt's place for fish head curry and MAN! was it good!went back to the hotel after that just in time to catch CHELSEA V ARSENAL! i can't believe i totally forgot about that match. superb game, even if it was a draw. chelsea hit the woodwork three times in the last 3 minutes. and there was a shot that hit the crossbar from right under the crossbar. i say jens lehmann is a
really lucky man. frankly, as much as i hate chelsea, i have to say, they deserved to win that match. they had many more chances than arsenal, and even arsenal's goal was caused by a lazy save from hilarious hilario. still, arsenal did us a HUGE favour by not letting chelsea escape with all the points.
Tuesday: return-home day. another 6 hours in the car. nothing much to talk about.
Today: blogging the whole morning.
the end.
