oh dear, there has been a serious burglary in my condo! this cat burglar used the water pipe along the outside wall to climb to the upper floors. my god. i am living on the first floor and luckily he didn't choose my house. imagine! the com is just beside the window!
i heard that the reason those houses were robbed was because they didn't lock the balcony doors. so the burglar just strolled in.the balcony doors were made of glass. that set me thinking. there is always a chance that the thief wasn't wearing gloves, and his fingertips touched the glass surface. since the glass is transparent, fingerprints can not only be taken, but also seen clearly on the surface.
laptops and handphones were taken too. there is some number code on the current handphones, i've been told, and this code could be used to track down the phones. laptops however, are a bit trickier. there is a slim chance that the thief will use them to connect to another person's wireless network. and my condo has plenty of unsecured networks. i should know. so anyway, the police can set up an unsecured network to let the thief connect to it. then triangulate the thief's signal. simple as that.
ok, so my neighbour enquired whether i still had the door camera. actually i do. but it's not plugged to anything. sadly. if it caught the thief, all would be well, and my far-fetched ideas above can be thrown into the bin. however, i wouldn't want to be involved with the police at all. i've had one too many bad experiences with them.
ok, got to get lunch. foo hao will KILL ME if i'm late for cca one more time.
